To promote Chinese traditional culture and deepen friendly city exchanges, on January 21st, Jinan hosted the "Jinan-Suwon Celebrate Chinese New Year" Spring Festival Experience Event in Suwon, an international sister city in Korea. The event aimed to showcase a series of vibrant cultural displays, bringing the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year to the Korean people and highlighting the unique cultural charm of Jinan.

　　At the event site, beautifully crafted lanterns became the visual focal point. Lanterns, an essential decoration in Chinese festivals, carry not only the auspicious wish of good fortune but also rich historical and cultural significance, as well as exquisite craftsmanship. Under the guidance of professional instructors, Korean friends carefully built the lantern frames, selecting vibrant colored paper to wrap them, and added their own decorative elements. Each lantern is imbued with the participants’ creativity and effort, naturally bridging friendships.

　　To satisfy everyone’s longing for a better life and the anticipation for the new year, the event site was decorated with festive elements such as red lanterns, Chinese knots, and the character "福". Additionally, the display of Jinan’s intangible cultural heritage crafts drew significant attention. Delicate paper cuts, vivid clay figurines, and finely crafted ceramics… attracted many Korean visitors to pause and admire.

Besides the handicraft displays, the event also featured an experience session with the guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument. With the help of professional teachers, Korean youths wore guzheng gloves and strummed the strings to experience the music. As a representative traditional instrument of China, the guzheng’s unique sound and rhythm captivated the Korean audience, allowing them to feel the charm of traditional Chinese music. On site, staff members played the guzheng to extend the warmest New Year wishes to the friends in Suwon.

This "Jinan-Suwon Celebrate Chinese New Year" Spring Festival Experience Event introduced Chinese traditional culture to an international sister city, creating a strong festive atmosphere. It conveyed unique New Year blessings to the people of Suwon and allowed Chinese traditional culture to be communicated, exchanged, and shared in Suwon.
